Bra size by brand: how reviewed brand guides work

By BraSizeMatch · Practical fit guidance

Bra measurements are not perfectly standardized. See which brands have reviewed guides and what method each one uses.

Why one measurement can give different sizes

There is no single rule every maker follows. Some brands publish body-measurement charts, some round your underbust to a band, and some only publish a size label chart. Two honest guides can therefore give different starting sizes from the same tape measurements.

That is why this site keeps brand pages separate from the general estimate. A general estimate is a starting point; a brand page applies the method that brand published.

Label translation versus manufacturer method

A label translation takes a general size and renames it using a brand’s chart labels. It does not claim the brand measured your body that way. A manufacturer method reads your measurements through the brand’s own published ranges or instructions.

Each brand below says which of these it uses. Neither is a guarantee: style, fabric, wire shape and your own proportions still decide the fit, and a brand’s official chart and return policy come first.

How to use a brand guide

Take each measurement twice with a level tape, following the measurement guide for the selected mode. Open the brand page and compare its result with the general estimate. If they disagree, treat the labels as starting points to check rather than a verdict.

Listing here means we reviewed a published source. It does not imply any partnership with, or endorsement by, the brand.

Find a starting size

If your cups gape or overflow, size and cup shape may both matter. Check your current measurements before changing styles, then compare the estimate with how your bra actually fits.
